Heather Brewer-Segal (1931-2006) Heather Brewer Segal (nee Nicholl) was the only Bermuda played at Wimbledon (1953-63).In singles,she made the fourth round three times and in double she made the semi-final.He success in other international tournaments was just as impressive.She reached the French Open semi-final twice and won the South African Open twice at a time when it one of the seven majors.In 1954,she was Bermudas Amateur Sportsman of the Year in part for her success at Wimbledon and for winning the North Ireland Tennis Championship and the Spanish Championship.
