Hed have been 71 today...His sister, Margaret took this photo when he was there for a visit after he found out he was terminal. He only wanted normal life after he found out he was dying. He didnt want to spend the rest of his time fighting the disease..he opted for some radiation to his brain tumors and nothing for what the doctors said was lung cancer. The radiation bought us a precious 2 years of normal days. The lung cancer never made a peep! He had no pain, no coughing,NOTHING until his strokes began on Oct 12th 2012..and that first one on a Saturday morning began to wipe out all he had ever known. They were cruel..and he was brave and determined to try to get his mind back..but it slipped away more with every one. ANd though he knew me only as wife at the very end, I would not have missed making that journey with him for anything. WHen I meet his mother (Nell) in heaven, I will thank her eternally for teaching him so well to dress himself and tie his shoes...till up to 3 days before he died he could still take care of his personal needs completely..they were the last to go. In many ways, I had it easy. Still love you, Honey...still married. Thats forever. See you soon!
