Hello Alumni and Friends, As you may know, my son George is running for City Council District 3. I am going to be brief and blunt…The political people in this town do not believe that we can win, they don’t believe we can raise the money, (and it shouldn’t be about. money, you can be a moron and win as long as you have the money, according to them..). They are banking that we won’t get out and vote, they are banking that we won’t get out and knock on doors,… All the so called Political Geniuses are against us, they do not believe in you, or us…..well, I believe in us, I always have. My son George and I want to prove them wrong, about us and about you ….Most of these guys want to show up at events and take pictures, and don’t really want to get their hands dirty…George is not just about pictures, he is about getting out there hands on and doing the work… . My son George has been in the trenches as a teacher everyday for 15 years, so he understands what our youth need. Everyone talks about gang violence and the trouble young kids get into, when a kid gets murdered, everyone screams and yells about how we need more youth programs to keep these kids occupied and off the streets, and then nothing happens. Well, 3 years ago he started a youth sports league for free, known as The Northside Youth Sports League.that over 1,000 kids play in from 10 Northside/Downtown schools. The essence of the Northside Youth Sports League, is not to produce star athletes, it is to bring young kids from all four corners of District 3 together so they can become familiar with each other and to develop friendships, so by the time they are 13,14,15, with hopes that they will become friends rather than enemies. (Public Safety 10 years down the road, you will see results) George works it every weekend along with his friends who volunteer their time..Onofre “Wimpy” Ramirez, Booker T. Moore, Coach Gene Dawson, Paul Garcia, Ed “Guro Kali” Vallejo, Leslie Muniz, Luis Balderas, Alex Rodriguez, and Henry Rangel….He has not received much help from either The City of San Jose or the San Jose Unified School District, in fact, the school district wants to charge us to use the fields that the kids practice on, where they actually attend school…. So, as you can see, we need your help to prove them wrong…I am going to put a link to PayPal, the max you can give is $500, all the way down to $1. If you have already given, you can still contribute all the way up to $500. If you give $100 or more,(and my challenge to you is to give $100 or more), you will be put on the website as a V.I.P. and receive some extra perks later….. If I have ever done a kindness for you at any time……I need your help now, so we can make a difference in District 3. It doesn’t matter if you live here anymore, or where you live now…We need you to make a difference, we can’t do it without your help. They are counting on you not helping us, and we are counting that you will… George will open up more youth programs in District 3, and more homework centers, he will work toward getting more Police downtown so you will feel safe, he will work on cutting the red tape so small businesses will thrive….Your concerns are his concerns… so again, please help us, we need you…. P.S. People say they don’t care about politics, that politicians don’t do …., and that may be true…but this not about politics, it is about friendship and relationships that have been built over time, so for this one time, for this one race, I am asking for your help. There are over 1,400 members here on Facebook and thousands outside of Facebook…again, help us to help you to make a difference in District 3… georgekleidon
