Hello, Dharma friends! So Chuseok, the Harvest Moon Festival and - TopicsExpress

Hello, Dharma friends! So Chuseok, the Harvest Moon Festival and one of the most important Korean holidays, is upon us and with it a 5-day weekend. Most Koreans return to their parents’ homes to observe family rites during this time while others, both international and domestic, take this opportunity to vacation. After some discussion with the participants of last Sunday’s meditation retreat, it was decided that we’d run another meditation retreat for this Sunday for anyone who doesn’t have Chuseok plans. I have no idea how many people will attend, but I don’t expect many and I’m not sure we’ll need to use our big bus. So I’d like to ask you a big favor. If you plan to attend, please email or text message me. I need an accurate head count so that I’ll know whether to reserve the bus or our SUV. That said, a Sunday Meditation Retreat will be held this Sunday, September 22, at the Yonghwasa Seon Meditation Center in Kanghwado. We will provide bus transportation to Kanghwado on Sunday morning at 10 am from the Gyeyang Train Station. Please arrive by 9:50 am. The Gyeyang Train Station is on the Airport Subway Line (공항) and is easily accessible from Seoul. After the retreat is finished, we’ll return you to Gyeyang Train Station by 5:00 pm. Here are the details, including information on getting to Gyeyang Train Station: THE YONGHWASA INTERNATIONAL SUNDAY MEDITATION RETREAT DEPARTURE FOR KANGHWADO Time: Sunday, September 22, at 9:50 am.
