Hello Everybody!!! Greetings from our new winter home in Finike, Turkey...what a great summer, lots of great sails, we visited 26 Greek Islands, met so many new cruisers from around the world which was a great experience, a few have now joined us now in Finike...Finike is not a touristic town, so the town is really down to earth, only 11,000 residents here...home of the orange groves...Saturday markets for fresh vegetables and fruits, my favorite day of the week...just went to a concert in Antalya last night...the Antalya Symphony Orchestra, with a 17 year old Korean engeniue...she played the most beautiful violin I have ever heard....lots of shopping, biking, walking, and an opportunity to travel to the interior of Turkey this winter...we have already scheduled a trip to Capadoccia ( please google this magical place) for November...a hot air balloon ride is in our future there....looks like we will spend Christmas and New Years this year in Germany...to see the Christmas markets and visit the incredible cities in Germany...we have some new friends there Doug and Laura that we may meet up with to share some great time together...We are planning 1 bigger trip this winter...either an African Safari or a trip to China...both on our bucket lists...probably in March, as we will start actively sailing again the middle of April...not sure which direction we will go in then....either the Black Sea or Croatia and the Dalmation Islands...returning to Turkey after the summer...have fallen in love with Turkey...having a 3 year residency has helped us make this our home base...our weather here is like Florida weather in October....very warm and lots of sunshine in the day and cool for sleeping at night...what could be better...so to all of our good friends and family we wish you a great fall season, hope you had great summers...drop us a line and let us know how you spent your summer and your plans for the holidays...Love to all...
