Hello Everyone. In connection with Remember Me Thursday ( remembermethursday.org ) which is a global campaign to raise awareness about the true epidemic of pet overpopulation in this country and around the world we will be posting LOCAL euthanasia statistics for the next 3 Sundays as our cover photo for the day. I understand that these statistics are not happy and furry or even pleasant, but they are reality and the only ones who can change the way our community views chronic euthanasia and pet overpopulation due to lack of spay and neuter is each and every one of us. If we do not educate our friends and neighbors about the realities of allowing pets to breed unchecked, or speak up when it matters, no one else will. It is not the fault of the shelter that they have to kill so many healthy pets, there are just no where near enough homes available to take them all in and until we do something to slow down the rate that puppies and kittens are born, there never will be.
