Hello Everyone, PopUp Providence is soliciting creative ideas from community groups, neighborhood associations, arts groups and individuals to enliven and activate the City’s public realm. I thought this would be a great opportunity to upgrade H P Lovecraft Memorial Square with a new sign that would appeal to the fans of Lovecraft and the strange fiction genre, as well as ignite the imaginations of the uninitiated to learn more about it. I will be proposing a bronze Shoggoth holding the H P Lovecraft Memorial Square plaque on a cast concrete pillar. I am including pics of the scale model and a shot of its proposed location at the corner of Angell and Prospect St. in Providence. I will submit my proposal at the end of this month and could use any brief letters of support from any Lovecraft fans in the Providence area. Just Message me. The well thought out, eloquent ones will go in with the proposal to let the city know the people want it. Thank you!
