Hello FBFs. Remember when we heard our grandparents say Yo children can make yo heart bleed? Well, I found that to be true and as of now, I surely understand what it means. Two years ago, I went through with something from my middle child. Never saw it coming. I woke my son up one night to go to store and get me some cough drops. He got up to go and picked a friend up along the way. This was nothing new because he always rode to store with this friend. Well, they decided that they wanted to smoke marijuana and picked up some guy they knew, who sold it. This guy tells them to pick up his brother and another guy. The guy tells them to go in a store and buy a black and mild so they can smoke it. How foolish could you be. If I buy my product from you, you sure aint gone smoke it with me. My son drove them to the store and his friend went in to buy the black and mild. As he was coming out the store, the boys brother jump out the car and hold the door to let another guy go in and arm rob a store. My son didnt go in the store,he drove next door to the sonic, but police charged him, too. I explained to him that from the moment he found out what happened, and decided to still let them ride with him, that he was just as much a part of the crime. Of course, when they ran out the store, they got in the car with him, and told him what they had done. He was told to tell what happened and he could go home. Well he told and didnt go home(he was charged with aggravated robbery). Everything he had been taught was gone down drain. He should have known he had the right to remain silence. 18 years old and been charged with such a crime. Didnt have to want for anything. Had his own ride, a job, and going to school. After posting his bail, I got him an attorney, hoping this would be over quickly, but no, it took 2 yrs. I knew my son, if I didnt know anyone else. I knew that he didnt arm rob nobody. Now they could have charged him with giving them a ride and knowing after the fact, but I knew he didnt rob anyone. So my fight started. I told my son that I was very disappointed, but I wasnt ashame of his foolishness. Yes, he was ignorant as hell and need to say, always a hard-headed child. In his mind, what they did was on them, and he didnt have anything to do with it. Dumb ass!!! Well, to sum it all up, I decided to fight because I knew my son and his friend just got caught up, cause they wanted to smoke. Dumb as hell. With my struggle in fighting, I got some grey hairs and almost lost my faith. I prayed daily and put out lots of money. I was foolish, too, because I should have known that this wasnt my battle to fight, it was the Lords. After paying out lots of money, the attorney told me that it was only a 15% chance of him winning the case. My son, kept saying, I know God gone get me out of this. He decided to take the charge for 7yrs of time. Just as he signed his car and everything over to me, I got a call. God had turned that thing around. My money couldnt do it. I couldnt do it. I had to let go and let God. The charges had been dropped. See, in this matter, I was taught a lesson also. I never knew how to be patient, and now I do. I also know how to let go and give it to God. I tell my children, that the system is always waiting on them to make a mistake, its up to them to go the right way. If I had given up, he would be in jail right now. I sat in court and heard the whole story. It was just like my son told it to me. I am thankful for Gods mercy and grace. I thank God for favor!. I thank God for allowing me to get to know my children and knowing what they are capable of and what they arent. Many people fail to know their children. Children make mistakes and he made a foolish one. Consequences come with everything you do, any believe me when I say, there were consequences with his mistakes. But, he learned a lesson also. See, I got a right to praise the Lord and I shall praise Him all the days of my life. Just thought I would share today, after 2 yrs of my heart bleeding. Oh, and I now got a degree in law, its just not on paper. Its in my head (LOL).
