Hello Friends, Concerned about food deserts in our urban areas? ABSW is offering a fun and interactive but with-a-serious-purpose class this Spring Food-Faith-Justice Garden Project CEFT-2700-01; 1.5 credit hours meets 2 times for class, 2 times for interesting field trips in Richmond and Berkeley, and 2 times at the new garden site at ABSW. Regular BOCA participants may know the instructor, Reverend Michael A. Smith, pastor at McGee Avenue Baptist Church. I know him from years back working with the East Bay Conservation Corps. The class is an early step in the establishment of the Center for Food, Faith and Justice at ABSW.
