Hello Friends and Family Members, NO OTHER gods!! Its our LORDS desire to bring each and everyone of us into His plan and purposes for us. But like He commanded the Israelites before bringing them into the land flowing with milk and honey, so also is He commanding you and I today saying: Each of you, throw away the abominations which are before your eyes, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt (the land). I am the LORD your GOD (Ezekiel 20: 7). Do you remember His First Commandment, where He strongly warned us saying: ....You shall have no other gods before Me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your GOD, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments (Exodus 20: 1 - 6). Did you see that? He (GOD) is indeed a jealous GOD who would never share His Glory with any other. He alone is JEHOVAH GOD and no other! and thats why He is reminding us today to be careful with our closeness to Him because the closer we get to Him the hotter His purifying fire upon us. A consuming fire which doesnt tolerate any form of idol worshiping, rather consumes both the worshiper and his or her gods even to the licking up the ashes thereafter. He is also saying to anyone who wishes to serve any other gods:- go ahead in your choice but you must stop profaning His presence with your gifts and your idols. Keep yourself and your idol far from His presence!, list you bring destruction and condemnation upon yourself and generations after you (See Ezekiel 20: 39 - 40). Does anyone really desire to serve the LORD GOD? Let him / her separate himself from any form of idol worship and wickedness. Trust and believe in God and His WORD because He is worthy to be trusted and can do exceedingly and abundantly more than you can ever think of or imagine. Have a fabulous weekend and God bless you.
