Hello Friends, tonight I presented Certificates of Appreciation to the Bunbury Woodturners Group for their gift to Council of a lecturn made from timber from the old Timber Jetty, and to the individual woodturners who designed and made this very fine lecturn. The lecturn will remain at Council for many any years to come and be a reminder of the economic and heritage value of the jetty. I also presented a cheque from Council to the Woodturners to help with further improvements to their premises which is the old Scout Hall adjacent to Payne Park. The Woodturners group are another example of our valuable community groups which enrich our community, and I was pleased to spend some time with them this evening. Regards, David.
