Hello HG! I would like to just remind everyone that the Annual Charity Chili Cook-Off will be taking place on Saturday, November 2nd at 5:00pm at the Harrington Grove Swim and Racquet Club. We will be joined by Jo Gore and the Alternative who will be providing the live entertainment. This is a community wide event and all residents are encouraged to join us in this great cause. We are supporting the Raleigh Rescue Mission this year and all donations will go to help out those less fortunate as we move into the winter and holiday months. This year we are collecting donations a little differently. When you donate a canned good, 1 dollar or any clothing item you will receive 1 vote ticket for each of our 3 categories (Hottest, Bizarre, Overall). 10 dollars or 10 cans gets you 10 votes (ballot stuffing your own chili entry is accepted, but not encouraged). Of course everyone is welcome to come and taste the chili entrants, but your donations are needed to vote. Please consider bringing a chili so we have plenty of participants (there has never been too many!), and please consider bringing your donations to help make this annual event better and better. I look forward to seeing all of you there!
