On Sunday 30th of november at 11 a.m, in Cortijo Las Monjas, we organize a workshop about olive oil, it is an introductory olive oil tasting course. Sometimes we don´t know the differences between an extra virgin olive oil and another kind of oil, then, most of the times, we go and look for prices, and we think that the expensieves ones maybe are the best ones. In this workshop you can learn how to recognize a good olive oil and also what benefits offer to our health, and more. Francisco Lorenzo Tapia is a doctor, nutrition expert and specialized in olive oil and all around this. He can communicate in a very nice way all the main things and curiosities we need to know about olive oil. We like to promote the local products, this is why we will taste a few differents varieties of extra virgin olive oil from Málaga region and from our olives trees too, Hojiblanca, Verdial, Manzanilla, and more... It will be possible to listen the workshop in english for the people who doesnt undertand spanish or who needs help. For those who are interested in coming the night before or for all the weekend, we have special rates. And also if there is enhough people we are trying to organize a small tour through the centenaries olive trees in the area, later we will go to an olive oil mill, where we can know all the process from the picking till the olive oil is in the bottle, and we will see, at the same place, an ancient olive oil mill from the eighteenth century.
