Hello Junkies, heres a couple of axes I finished for my best client I thought you might enjoy a picture. Both are forged from bloom iron (that is, iron I smelted from the rock myself) with 1080 steel bits. The bottom one also has a steel poll. The top is a handy heavy hatchet, a little over 2 1/2 lbs for the head, with a 14 handle. The bottom is kind of a forest/survival/camping axe, with a head just over 2 lbs, and a 20 handle.The bottom of the beard is also sharpened. And for those of you complaining about the cost of the Gransfors, these cost about twice that!
