Hello Slipper friends! We were happy to perform again Thursday evening at the Maderia Farmers Market, but it was cold and not a lot of folks ventured out to shop. Thanks to the folks who did sit with us for a while despite the clouds and wind. We appreciated being told our music helped add cheer to what would have been a long, dreary evening. Be sure to keep the Maderia Farmers Market in mind. The outdoor market continues through Halloween (come trick or treat with them!) They will continue at their Winter Market location at the Madeira Silverwood Presbyterian Church from 4-6pm on Thursday November 7th. Saturday evening, October 19th, well be out in Pleasant Plain, OH at the Plain Folk Café - Music and Coffee House. Located at 10177 State Route 132, Pleasant Plain, Ohio 45162. On Friday, October 25th, were back over at the Southgate House Revival in Newport. This time, to benefit breast cancer. This year’s goal is to raise $10,000 for The American Cancer Society’s, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. The event is One More Girl on a Stage. This is a three-day festival, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Ma Crow and the Lady Slippers will be performing Friday evening at 7:00pm in the Sanctuary. Or, you can purchase a weekend pass for $20.00 On Saturday, October 26th, well be outside for the last time this season. Pack up the family and take a drive to Neltners Farm Fall Fest, 2013, 6922 Four Mile Road, Melbourne, KY 41059. Phone, 859-496-7535. The festival offers horse-drawn wagon rides, an expanded corn maze and pumpkin patch, petting zoo, pony rides, home cooked food and ice cream, farm shop, crafters, pottery, face painting, seasonal apples, folk art, live music, wine tastings and a variety of demonstrations. Well be performing from 1:30-3:30. WEEKEND ADMISSION: Ages 3 and up $5. Includes horse drawn wagon ride to the pumpkin patch, corn maze, petting zoo and acres to roam.
