Hello-This is Brother George again! It has come to my attention that there are some who don’t believe that Jesus went down into hell after His crucifixion. If you read Ephesians 4:9, and 1 Peter 3:19, you should be convinced by the Word of God about this fact. In Ephesians 4:9, it says “(Now this, He ascended-what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?) Then we read in 1 Peter 3:19, that He went into hell and preached to the spirits of those who died in Noah’s flood. You can’t dispute the Word of God. Even the gifts that He gave us are still in operation. It says in Ephesians 4:11, “He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.” There is a five-fold ministry in operation even today. There are those who preach otherwise, but they cannot prove it scripturally no matter how hard they try. I have been to churches that teach both sides-but I am only convinced by the Word of God. You need to study and glean the Word for its truth. What a wonderful and gracious God we serve! The Word of God is better and sweeter than honey, any day. Amen!
