Hello, This is a short survey on the workforce employed in IT/ITeS industries in India. The IT industry (through the offices of NASSCOM) has lobbied hard with the Government to obtain exemption from various Labour laws. This we believe is to the detriment of both the workforce and the industry in the long-term. The purpose of the survey is to understand the problems of the workforce, and the results of the survey will be submitted to the Department of Labour, Karnataka in a bid to counter these lobbying efforts. The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), Indias oldest Central Trade union is conducting and compiling the survey results.
