Hello! We have a fund raising opportunity to help raise money - TopicsExpress

Hello! We have a fund raising opportunity to help raise money for new uniforms by serving beer at the Oktoberfest located at 21st and Larimer (Downtown) on September 27-29 and October 4-6. The sponsors of the Oktoberfest will donate a percentage of their beer sales plus any tips made in exchange for working a booth at the event. Boys basketball has worked this event for the past two years and has earned approximately $80 a shift. This is a fun event and a great way to meet and bond with other parents. Below are available shifts- Friday: 4:15 p.m. -9:00 p.m. 8:45 p.m.-1:15a.m. Saturday: 10:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. 3:45 p.m.-9:00 p.m. 8:45 p.m.-1:15a.m. Sunday: 10:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. 2:45 p.m.-6:00p.m. Sign up via the link below: signupgenius/go/30E054CAEAA2AA02-grandview Booth workers pour beer or run beers/steins between the pourer and the patron. The supervisor position will be asked to ensure all who signed up are present in the booth. We get to keep all tips so wear Wolves/Grandview gear to help get better tips. People will give bigger tips knowing that their money is going to your team at Grandview! Anyone over 21 can work in the booth so include other family members and friends. When signing up, you will note the student’s name and the sport they participate in and funds will be allocated to that students account. Each person can work one or more shifts. The more shifts worked, the more money earned. Example: If two parents each worked one shift per weekend, they would earn an estimated $320 for that student’s account to (add whatever $ can be used for). If their brother and sister-in-law joined them for one of those shifts, an additional $160 (estimated) would be added to that account. If a student participates in more than one activity, they can determine how to distribute the funds for each. Oktoberfest uses tickets as a form of payment. All attendees will get their ID’s checked, get a hand stamp and buy tickets to purchase beer at a ticket booth. We will collect tickets (please do not tear) and put them into the barrels provided. There will be no ID checking and a big rule is NO DRINKING or giving free beer. Also, there is no parking (there are pay lots near by) provided so carpooling or taking the light rail is the best bet. Please note that 10% of all earnings will be allocated back to the athletic department. This is a great and fun event-please email me kelly.belue@gmail or call (303-400-3165) if you have questions or concerns.
