Hello again. I got an email from the Kootenay Native Plant Society. I thought I would pass it on, maybe you are looking for a way to take part. Here it is: Hello all native plant enthusiasts. We are looking for volunteers to help with some ecosystem restoration near the mouth of Cottonwood Creek in Nelson on Saturday July 5 (by the foot bridge at the west end of the dog-walk trail around the Nelson airstrip). This will be starting at 9 am and involve planting native shrubs along the creek bank and cutting / removing invasive weeds. There will also be free a BBQ lunch. Please bring adequate footwear, gloves and a shovel as well if you can. Thor Smestad
