Hello again to all our fans and supporters! We just competed at the Groton District Event this past weekend, and we have some exciting news to share! Team 237 placed 2nd in the competition! We pushed our team and robot to the limit, and had a few minor technical issues (one on our alliances robot, and one small hiccup on ours as well). Since its a best 2 out of 3 format for the Elimination matches, we lost out in the very last 2 matches and received a 2nd place win. We also won a technical award! The award we won was the Innovation in Controls Award sponsored by Rockwell Automation, and Celebrates an innovative control system or application of control components – electrical, mechanical or software – to provide unique machine functions. Students are interviewed throughout the course of the competition, and must effectively communicate and relay to the judges the details of a technical feature on the robot! Congratulations to all of our STUDENTS who spoke to the judges and made this possible for us and to our awesome mechanical and electrical sub-teams for implementing awesome features such as our SONAR device that helped us score points in Autonomous Mode!
