Hello and welcome new members! Im the admin. Ive thought out a few things to post to keep everyones children safe as well as rules for those looking to babysit. THOSE LOOKING FOR BABYSITTERS: Ask for references and and make sure to follow up on them. Make a visit to the home your child(ren) might be spending time at for your peace of mind as well as allowing your child to get familiar with the helper and environment. Please make sure once you have found someone to provide all contact information so the helper can get ahold of you if the need arises. Remember, the decision you make is you and your helpers responsibility. Make sure you and your helper have an agreement laid out beforehand so that everyone is on the same page. If you are running behind to pick up your child please let your helper know so they can be prepared. Make sure to bring extra items your child may need if this is a possibility. Lastly, if you make an agreement with your helper, please hold up your end of the bargain. THOSE LOOKING TO BABYSIT: Please make sure you have a safe home and environment. We all love our children and want them safe! If you are a teen looking to help, please provide your parents information and ok it first. Provide references for the parents peace of mind. Keep the parents updated on their children. Parents worry. Its a given. Send a text or call to let them know how their child is doing. If you have errands to run please remember to request appropriate carseats and ALWAYS buckle them in the backseat. Most everyone knows this but I will stress this point. It is summer and temperatures can be very hot! NEVER leave a child alone in a vehicle!! 80 degree weather can turn a vehicles inside temp to 100+ degrees in just a matter of minutes and the outcome can be deadly!! Remember that you are responsible for the child while in your care so please supervise them wisely. Care for these precious children as if they were your own. Ask for emergency and Dr numbers as well. Lastly, the cost of childcare can be expensive so please be reasonable. FOR ALL: This is not a buisness and this group is not reliable for any situations regarding your child or monetary issues. Please discuss an agreement ahead of time so both of you are prepared. Share this group with others. Many cant afford childcare facilities which is why this group was created. These are simple rules we follow on a daily basis for our own children and is not intended to complicate. As always, our children are the most precious gifts given to us so never go a day without letting them know how much you love them. :-)
