Hello everyone, I have a query about society rules or restrictions as you may call them with regards to pets. I reside in a large residential complex at Wadala, locality with lot of pet owners and equal number of residents who think of pets as nuisance. Recently my society has put forth certain restrictions on handling pets in building premises. The major rule being pets not allowed in lifts. Our building has 2 lifts and 1 service/freight lift which is actually meant to carry heavy stuff and is twice the size of other lift. We have been strictly informed to use only service lift to take our pets down. Can a society prohibit the pet owners from using other lifts? This rule will also cause wastage of electricity if the other lifts are available on our floor level but we will have to call for the service lift all the way up. Building is of 27 floors. Also would like to add that there has never been an incident of any person being attacked by pet dogs while in same elevator. Please share your views and experience.
