Hello everyone, I have a very tricky problem with the new policy for ikamet. My student ikamet (for Turkısh courses) which lasts for one year will expire on 3 August. I was thinking I would just fly outside of the country and come back with my tourist visa then apply for tourist ikamet as many of my friends did. But now rumor has it that with the new policy, tourist ikamet only offer maximum 6 months of stay within one year and after the 6-months ikamet is finished I will have to stay outside of Turkey for 180 days. Have any one have heard anything about this? Or does anyone know how to get the (1 year?) Kısa dönem ikamet? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks so much!
