Hello everyone :) I have loaded up two different types of Rhodonite today, as you can see they are quite different in the ratio of pink and black. The darker Rhodonite comes from Zimbabwe and the pink Rhodonite is from Madagascar. Here is a little info on how the colour difference relates to the crystal and what you would use Rhodonite for. Rhodonite is a combination of the minerals manganese iron calcium silicate (pink) and manganese oxide (black). The varying degrees of pink and black are dependant on the area of mining. The name Rhodonite comes from the Greek word for rose. Rhodonite is a perfect stone for those who have self esteem issues, especially when it is due to things that have occured in the past. The Pink Ray resonates with the Heart Chakra promoting love, especially self-love, because if you dont love yourself you will struggle to love others without becoming dependant. The Black Ray is rooted in Earth energies and can help to draw away negativity and neutralise it. Rhodonite is also said to help you to communitate, when you are trying to express your emotions, but finding it difficult due to anger and resentment, as you are more able to speak from a place of self- love and respect. Rhodonite promotes self-esteem and purpose, and dispels negativity, a wonderful crystal for those who could do with showing themselves a bit more love and self-respect.
