Hello fellow Lancers. Quick update regarding the Class of 94 reunion. As we posted earlier, the three of us met on Tuesday to discuss the various options for the event. We talked in depth about many venues, from large catered events at an exquisite hotel to more low key events at a local hilltop hangout. As many of you know, we are already behind the eight ball with over the year half over. In addition to the time limitations, we have a few challenges that will limit our ability to get elaborate or more creative. Lisa made many calls and most venues are requiring an upfront deposit (some as high as 1500.00) just to reserve the date, in addition to up-front funds to secure food, drinks, etc... Without anything being collected to date, this is going to be very difficult to overcome. I think the general consensus from most of us was lets just get something so we can see each other, enjoy some good laughs, and see whos is really photoshopping their pictures on Facebook (ok, I am kidding on that last part). In all seriousness, it looks like we may have a couple of unique opportunities to secure a location without an up-front date deposit, one of which is an excellent option centrally located in North Park. We are just waiting on the final details which we should know here very, very soon. We will post details about the venue as soon as confirmed. The dates being proposed are either 9/27 or 10/18.
