Hello friends and family , Im posting this because my son Branden Montelongo age 17 decided on a new adventure in his Life. On Friday he left me a letter stating he decided to do Train Hopping, hitchwiki.org/en/Train_hopping my son has been researching this for some time. On his letter to me he said, he is not running away and states he will be back and he is not angry or anything just following his dream of train / Freight hopping and that sub culture. Me and his mom family are worried and deeply concerned for his safety as any parent and family would be. On Friday we notified the police and made a report but we are waiting for the actual assigned detective to contact us. Also notified Union Pacific Rail Road Police department and have sent them pictures of him. On his face Book he put that he was heading to Huston Texas but did state on a train or Bus . But the thrill for the Freight hoppers is they dont know where the train is going, but San Diego is a place he likes also. I messaged his friends and some have responded and will inform us if he contacts them. It seems he left with a kid name Donnie Myers from Palmdale California. I have been trying to find his residents but with no luck. He went to Little Rock High school last year, we think he is 17 yrs old also. So we dont know if his family knows he has left. Branden has limited money so he has his guitar and would perform on the streets to make money which he has done and good at it. To my family in the El Paso area and Texas area please look out for him. The picture I posted of Branden with him giving the peace sign is current and is from the day he left this past Friday October 25 about 1pm , also the picture of Donnie Myers not sure how old that is or current. Branden is very street wise and smart kid. Branden wears glasses all the time.
