Hello ladies and gents, I am just giving you guys some info regarding the City of Akos biggest festival of the year. Thousands of people come to our little town to celebrate Gishisai or basically, a festival celebrating the 47 Loyal samurai. It will take place on Sunday the 14th of December and will feature all manner of entertainment including (but not limited to) traditional Japanese dance performances, School brass bands, Taiko drumming and the main samurai parade featuring well renowned Japanese television actor Matsudaira Ken as their fearless leader, Oiishi Kuranosuke. So if you find yourself free on the 14th, why not come by Ako, and enjoy the spirit of the Gishisai matsuri. I will try to post the following links...
