...I felt really guilty about stealing that – oh my baby – vocal riff– from a famous 60 song. See, when I recorded the song when I was writing it. I didnt realize that was happening. But after a recorded it. Then I listened to it. Then I realized I had taken those three words from the song. But I couldnt remember what song it was. So when we wrote the song in the Scripture. It was sung different. But then when I started playing it on the guitar to the voice recorder. I started singing a different because playing it and sing it together creates a different image.And then all of a sudden just now the song came in my head. So I looked it up on YouTube . And then when I listen to this. I recognize that from when I was a child I used to hear this on the radio and every day...only this is a live version the radio version was a bit different... But I dont think Ive heard the song since the 1970s...Im not out to steal from anybody. But this song had a profound impact on my life... Obviously... that is such a good name for a song... see the Hendrix riff Im playing at the beginning of the song is original. Im not actually copying anything he did but its his style. Obviously. But the whole sound in the note progression that Im playing with the open strings. He never did that...technically, Im not stealing anything from the song. But my songs original and I dont want to ever be accused.. So I would rather just pay his family when we release a song...because this is such a great song... Historical...see, there are these songs that are sold famous in history that nobody knows who they are because theyre one-hit wonders...at the right place at the right time. Because people didnt have the ability to make demo tapes back then... So, somebody wouldve had to seeing him saying in a nightclub to sign him... Im just guessing... And then either he wouldve written a song and was singing on stage and they knew they had a hit or they had a hit song, but needed a singer... youtube/watch?v=qtjpzXPcwKw
