Hello members, Paul & Sam’s story is a lot more than just a plot-driven mm romance murder mystery. For the early part of Paul’s story reveals one view of the daily grind and struggles experienced by desperate, homeless gay youths. They are just some of the many issues I’ve often encountered while counselling gay youths in Australia in recent years. Paul’s story is not a fairy tale. His early life in the book depicts the real, gritty tragic and suicidal stuff invariably faced by the lonely victims of parental abuse and rejection in modern western society. I’ve been exposed to this epidemic caused by monsters of so-called parents. These are the situations that leave the victims weak in mind and body and prone to be beaten up, of succumbing to disease and other health issues and of being targeted by predators, homophobes and so on. Fortunately, some experience the offer of a stranger’s helping hand, as depicted in Paul & Sam, which often brings love and happiness and a worthwhile future to the victim.
