Hello my fave. ghouls! Here am gonna share with you 5 essentials tips how to take care of our dolls/toys that we should know as a collector and a toys/dolls lover! 1. Stay away from direct sunlight : Ok I know its sound like we having a vampire thingy here but yes, please avoid any contact with direct sunlight especially a guy who love to decorates their car by putting his fave. toys such as small action figures/trading toys/hot wheel cars on the deck which is openly direct to sunlight. it may coz a fast discoloration of the toys but is there any of you who putting a doll as car decoration? LOL but seriously the heat coz by the direct sunlight surely will harm ur doll not just a vampire. Noted. 2. Avoid any bleeding-cloth : Ok, after a vampire thingy, whats with the bleeding cloth? I learned this term from IT company, which is a term that referring to the cloth that can leave a stain on ur doll body. The example color that might leave a stain on ur doll body are black, red, and blue. Please, if u so happened that love to make clothes for ur dolls, or like to change their clothes, please be careful with that 3 colors I mentioned just now. Most of IT dolls, when they using those bleeding-cloth they will make sure to cover the dolls body first. same goes with the doll purchases. Beware with bleeding-cloth huuuuuuuuuuuuuu... 3. Room temperature : What is or room temperature? Room temperature! hahahahaha Well, Malaysia weather is either summer or raining. So practically I can say our room temperature is differ and hard to control. But, as to make sure ur dolls collection is in good condition you can put them in a special room with the air-condition as to control the temperature! The hot temperature may lead to shelf-wear problem which is for example it can easily melt the rubber band on ur doll hair. Well, you know the deal, go buy an air-condition now! hahahahahahahahaha 4. Avoid any forces during unboxing : Remember the first time when u feel excited during unboxing ur first ever doll and all of sudden u broke her arm or cut her finger! I bet u will scream like hell over it. Dont blame urself with the incident, it happened to me before. From that day I learned that forces are not a good thing when unboxing the dolls/toys from the box. Where the hell is the forces come from. Its from our feeling call TOO EXCITED. In this case, control your excitement during the unboxing coz u never know whether u cut off ur finger or ur doll finger. If ur finger, phewww its totally good news. LOL! 5. Avoid using flash : We love dolls/toys photo shoot? Dont we??? Yes, we want to capture the most beautiful picture or photo of our dolls/toys and share it with everyone. Even though we take like 30 photo and turn out to be only 1 photo is the best but we still satisfied. Are we??? HAHAHA but, thats not really an issue, the issue is the flash thingy. Did we know that the flash will ruin our dolls/toys material and its might lead to yellowish and discoloration, especially on resin material. Well, what the heck is resin. Resin is material that being used for BJD doll and its very delicate to sunlight and flash! U might think its bull, but have u ever went to any doll exhibition. If yes, u might see A LOT of DO NOT USE FLASH signage on very doll booths. Well, the best is natural light. My tips is, take ur doll for outdoor photo shoot someone around 5 pm - 6 pm, ur photo will turn out beautifully becoz dolls/toys interacted n blended nicely with the nature. Thats all for now ghouls.
