Hello one and all, Just thought Id give everyone a quick update on how things are progressing. Raffle We didn’t talk about this at the meeting however I can now confirm the plans. The NBS Ball is going ahead as planned which is really fantastic! As such, what I am looking to do is to move all our gifts and prizes for the Raffle over to Dunston Hall on the afternoon of the event. As such, those that have prizes etc, if you wouldn’t mind bringing them in on Thursday then I can look to pick them up from you and take them off your hands. I’ll then pass these over the wonderful people of the Management Society who have an idea as to the arrangements of the evening. Bare in mind, on this evening we will attempt to pass on as many of the gifts as possible! If we get all of them awarded then fantastic, if not then we can always keep some back and award them next week at Molly & I’s cycle. This leads me on nicely... Molly & Chris’ Cycle Ride Yes indeed! For those of you that weren’t there last week, Molly and I are doing a 13hr Relay Cycle Ride on behalf of CRUK. YAY! We’ll be in the square from 6am-7pm attempting to cycle as many miles as possible between us on the day! Lauren has already been very kind to offer some help on this day in regards to money collection. What Molly and I are also looking for are MORE people to come and help out with collecting money AND we also need some people who are qualified in First Aid to come and help us on this. If you know any who would be willing to come and monitor Molly and I for half an hour or so (to make sure we don’t die!) please get them involved. Tom from CRUK is hopefully going to find out what we can do in regards to materials for the day (buckets and so on!) T Shirt Competition Winner Announcement Application form has been put in, will let you know as and when I hear anything. It has been decided, as with it would mean a lot more paperwork on both fronts, that on the day there will be NO PA System involved. Due to the scale of what we should expect I don’t think it should require one either. Flyers, Leaflets and Posters These have been put in to be printed and should be finished tomorrow at the latest where Nahom will pick them up. Nejoud and Luana are going to have the responsibility of getting them around campus. Nejoud has already, fantastically, asked for the boxes to put the applications in which’ll then be dressed up and put in the hubs, pubs and box office. We are looking for people to volunteer to hand these out after lectures etc in white T-shirts which’ll be scribbled upon (This reminds me: LINDSEY, can you email me a copy of the receipt for the T-Shirt’s please).
