Hello one and all. Well todays shoot, the Peter McDonald Memorial - TopicsExpress

Hello one and all. Well todays shoot, the Peter McDonald Memorial Shoot, has been run and won. For those who didnt know Peter, i gave a brief outline of his contribution to the Colac Gun Club, at todays presentation. Peter was a longtime member of our club, our president multiple times, and someone who did the heavy hauling, in the tough years of our club in the 1980s and 1990s, Peter was also a very good shot, and i drew the audiences attention to this fact at the presentation, by pointing out his name on the various honor boards and photos that adorn the walls of our club room. But above all else, Peter was a very likeable bloke, easy to get along with, and i for one, am glad that i had the pleasure of knowing him. So i wish to convey to the extended McDonald family, that we remembered Peter today. We had a good turnout, the weather started of ok, but we had to contend with showers, sunny patches, and dull conditions at times through out the day. James Hayden Of Noorat, won the memorial shoot, with a score of 164/164 with Graham Menhennet of Ballarat a respectable second with 163/164. This was the highest winning score, since this shoot commenced in 2009. There was about 12 perfect scores of 50/50, all who shot off, with the eventual outcome being that of above. Congratulations to all the other place getters, in this event, and the 30 target medley event also. Thanks also to everyone who helped today, and most importantly thankyou to our visitors, because without your attendance, our shoots would not be viable, we enjoy your competition. Hope to see you all again next shoot. President John Martin
