Hello, thanks for letting me in! I, most sadly for me, dare not class myself as a poet. Maybe on better days I could call myself a doggerelist.That aside, I describe real poets - everyone else on this page - as the kings of the writing universe. At its best I think poetry is the classiest form of writing ever invented. I asked to join the group for this reason and also because I like to support all sorts of real writing and last - most conveniently for me on this occasion - the little womens writers group to which I belong is about to discuss what is a poem? So if anyone feels a grain of sympathy for a group of er, very mature ladies, living in Karmiel, Western Galilee, Israel , perhaps they would be kind enough to give their view on the nature of poetry.
