Help a Mo Out. She writes: My son is 10 and he has multiple disabilities. He recently had his gallbladder removed and has had constipation issues ever since. With having short-gut syndrome, he shouldnt be. Usually shortly after he eats, he has a bowel movement. He now has gone a few days without one. We have tried stool softeners, Miralax, etc. Its either worked short term or not at all. His GI and surgeon are stumped as well as I. Could it be that since he has Aspergers and ADHD, he is starting to want to hold his poo in and not want to go?? Im lost and am tired of seeing his appetite fade and him losing weight, his GI specialists are talking about putting him back on a feeding tube and TON. Last time he had his NJ tube and TPN was from birth to age 3! Please HELP, THANK YOU:)
