Help a Mom Out: She writes: Hi I wondered if you could ask the community a question for me: my 9 month old son refuses to eat anything. If I do put the baby food in his mouth it just sits in his mouth until it drains in his throat and then he gags and throws up. Since Ive been trying for almost four months he know purses his lips together so tight because he knows Im going to try and feed him. I finally found out that he would eat the little Gerber cheetos but they constipated him so bad he had a bloody booty so the Dr. said no more (I tried karo syrup and pear juice..no go, he wont drink the bottle! Im just trying to say Ive tried everything. Hes still on a newborn nipple because otherwise the formula comes out to fast. There is nothing wrong with his growth luckily..hes 22 lbs! We took him to a G.I. specialist who referred him to speech pathology and in May hes getting a swallow study done. My question is...what am I to expect? Will he eventually eat? Has anyone else had to deal with this.
