Help another mom out: Hoping for some advice. We are going to our feedback appointment this week for our 5 yr old son. He is very behind his peers in schooling. Over the past few years we have been shuffled around to different doctors, therapies, etc. No one has had any answers for us. Would not be surprised to receive a dx of ADHD (older sibling has this), but Autism (high functioning) has been mentioned to us as a possibility as well. My question is: My son went to several days of testing with a Psychologist at a very reputable organization. Is this an appropriate person to take an ASD dx from? Some people have mentioned needing to see a Develpmental Ped dr for this. I know very little about ASD and am trying to educate myself so that I can ask the appropriate questions needed if an ASD diagnosis is given to us. Thanks for any help!
