Help fellow 4-Hers affected by the fires in California! A group of 4-H Families in Weed, California (Siskiyou County) have been affected by the fires. They are a small county (population less than 3,000), and right now their immediate needs (food, shelter and clothing) are being met but 60 4-H youth are without school supplies: pencils, pens, markers, crayons, notebooks and backpacks.) Our Camping program volunteered to furnish 60 backpacks. What we are asking from any of you, is if you’d like to donate any supplies to help fill the backpacks, please bring them in by Friday morning. The youth going to LAW this weekend are volunteering to put these backpacks together to be shipped out asap. Please bring anything you can by 9am on Friday (Sept. 19th) to the Madison Extension Office and Ms. Becky will make sure they are delivered to Ocala for LAW. Thank you for your help! We know how devastating natural events can be being from a hurricane/flooding prone area and how much help is needed!
