Helping to get the word out: The Weld County Emergency Operations - TopicsExpress

Helping to get the word out: The Weld County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has moved to a Level 4 activation as of today. The Level 4 activation means that Emergency Management Staff (who oversee the EOC staff during an emergency) is continuing to handle resource requests from local agencies if needed as well as continuing to monitor the flooding incident. As we move into the recovery phase of this event, most EOC staff has transitioned out of the EOC and back to their departments or agencies to work on recovery efforts there. On Thursday, September 12, 2013, the Weld County EOC was activated at a Level 1 (full EOC staff reporting including dispatch, fire, law enforcement, public works, GIS, health and more). Level 1 status was maintained through Monday, September 16 when we dropped to a Level 2 activation (fire and law enforcement staff return to their agencies and department to continue their work). The Weld County EOC was running for seven days through this event – the longest period of time the Emergency Operations Center has been open for any Weld County event. Thank you to all the people who worked in the EOC and continue to work out in the field through their agencies. DEBRIS VOUCHERS are available to Weld County residents impacted by the flood.
