Here are my thoughts, no ranting to be done. An opinion from someone who follows this team in much greater depth than just being a fan. Good afternoon Tiders. While last night was a tough pill to swallow, hats off to Ohio State and their performance. They came prepared and they did exactly what I had stated previously couldnt happen for Alabama to win this game. By allowing Jones to remain throwing and running threat, the Crimson Tide allowed for their gameplan to flourish. Sometimes the best plans in the world can be overcome, Smart and Kiffin did nothing wrong by definition last night, Ohio State like every team that plays Alabama, came to play. They played very well. Alabama played very well also, I have nothing bad to say about last night. It wasnt a beat down, it was a fantastic game. I am very proud of everyone on this team, from the coaches to the players. I believe that the Crimson Tide need to figure out how to get their You play Alabama Next focus to the level that teams who are playing the Tide have. Every one that plays Alabama seems to play above and beyond their expectations. That is the key here. Next year it will be the same, more We Want Bama chants and more proving themselves against the SEC. Thats the badge we all wear as fans, the one that makes teams from other conferences hate, fear, and demonize the Alabama Football Program. While theyll never fully admit they are jealous or envious, why would they care what Alabama does if they felt any other way? Good question right? Each and every year there is smack talk, sometimes the answers are in our favor, sometimes they arent. One thing you can always count on is that each and every year, teams will want to play the Alabama Crimson Tide and teams in the SEC to prove the worth of their program. There is no bias, its just the only conference in College Football that each year, performs and excels. To accomplish what the Crimson Tide did this year was absolutely fantastic. This years accomplishments were along the standards of tradition established by past Crimson Tide teams. This team is still very young, there is so much talent still coming up through the ranks, talent that hasnt fully been tapped into as of yet. To watch Blake Sims mature into a great player and young man was a sight to see, as well as watching Alabama take another SEC Championship Title. These are the things that I believe we forget in a media fueled society. Alabama will not win a National Title every year, they will however be in the hunt every year. The Alabama Football Program and Nick Saban will still be the measuring stick for every other football program in the country. Thats just fact, undisputed fact. Yes this year, the Southeastern Conference and the Crimson Tide were not as strong as they historically have been, which really means nothing in the scope of things unless youre outside the conference looking in. Next year is always next year and there will be the same talk. Next year Alabama will start the season just as they did this year, and the media will try to incite the Crimson Tide Fan base yet again. So just be ready. Yes well have a QB competition next year, yes Alabama will continue to run the ball, yes Alabama will continue to have a Top 3 Recruiting Class, if not the best in the Country... AGAIN. Again the Crimson Tide will produce NFL quality draftees that produce at the next level. Again we will have the talk that Nick is leaving, Kirby is leaving, and Lane is leaving. You do realize this is the same general talk that happens every year, now ask yourself why. The answer is simple. No one likes a repeat Champion every year, its just not fair. So they will dismantle what works in favor of more drama to talk about. Be prepared. Yes Alabama lost to Ohio State last night by 7 points. Yes everyone in the country will be mocking the We Want Bama chant. Yes everyone will be pounding Alabama fan pages and blogs with comments and memes galore. Yes everyone will be assaulting the National Championship count and bringing up the idiots on Paul Finebaums show. Everyone will be using words like Redneck, uneducated, and dating your sister.... all for what reason? When you lose and people still feel the need to hold you in the spotlight, why is that? Hold your head high Crimson Tide Fans, theyre still jealous of the family we have, the spirit we have, and the tradition we continue to uphold each and every year.
