Here are some photos I took this afternoon whilst out checking the waters on the 80 000 acre station (approximately 1280000 tennis courts). The 3 dams are completely dry and have been for quite some time, the creeks & channels are becoming scarce little mud holes and the water hole which we rely on for our water at the house will soon become one of the last watering points for 800-1000 head of cattle. This water hole is about 1 - 1.5 km in length and only a bit more than a stones throw wide, with its very deepest point well under 6ft. With the temperatures sitting well and truly in the 40s, evaporation is fast becoming one of our main enemies.
