Here are some splits from todays Interval piece from our boy - TopicsExpress

Here are some splits from todays Interval piece from our boy Adrian Strain (better know on the log as his handle Red Tiger). Now the listed goal of the workout today was to find a very uncomfortable CONSISTENT split for the three round work piece. We can see in this 3 Round series that AD started with a 3:18 then tacked 4 seconds on a round. Now AD was maintaining Unbroken sets of WallBalls and at his height he was on a average 40-45 seconds a set. This taken into account with transition times between the wall to rower and then back to the wall todays Intensity aspect lays largely in one spot, The Rower. And not just the Rower but the Mental aspect of the Rower. The Training Log called for a intensity level that allowed for one to go directly back to the wall for another set of UnBroken WallBalls. Now where that Intensity level laid is up to the athlete. It is also up to the athlete to stick to that split or lower it if WallBall cycle time decreases in you next two rounds. What this produces is a excellent mental piece if youre up to testing yourself. You can play it safe and dog your Rows taking it easier on yourself or you can find pace just above manageable and try and find the grit to stick with it. At a Programming lecture I was giving this weekend I said training has to have multiple aspects. You can read into that and think rep schemes, times, etc or you can go with what I was getting at in my talk. It has to be hard. It also has to be fun or else why do it (fun can mean so many different things to people though). But a large thing some people over look is the need for it to be mentally challenging as well. The rower is great for instant feed back on your effort. And this workout gives you all a chance to compete against yourself today to just keep moving at a pace you probably wouldnt want to late in the game. Good luck
