Here is Lindsays second e-mail during her mission: heres what i wrote in my journal and forgive any grammatical errors, their keyboards arent the same and are hard to type on. currently i am sitting in the salt lake city airport. it was an emotional experience saying bye to my family at the saint george airport. trenton truman was getting home as i was leaving. that made for an interesting dynamic, as one family was crying tears of joy, the other was crying tears of sadness. trent offered some advice, take advantage of every moment, it goes by fast so enjoy it. i boarded the plane crying and as i stared out of the window i prayed for the lord to please be with me. as the plane ascended, the sun slowly crept into my line of vision and i felt the lord say, i am with you. i have never seen saint george more beautiful than in that moment as the sun was shining down on it in the most delicate of fashions. no, i have never seen my city more beautiful than that, from the small, dirty window that belonged to the plane charged with taking me away from it. i was welcoming the goodbye in which id yearned so long for because it meant i was on my way to serving my lord. what seemed so far from my reach has now slapped me right in the face. this is real and i am at peace at last. i have never felt more free in my life. i feel free from satans grasp, free from temptation and distraction, free from doubt and worry...wildly free even in the most disciplined time of my life and i am loving it. on another note: this has been an interesting layover (5hrs). some notable things have happened. a boy named moala funaki, who works here at the airport, started talking to me as i was walking to my gate. hes debating on going on a mission, i hope he does! he has checked up on me a few times and brought me snacks, great customer service! next, the gate im sitting in has had many flight arrivals. i did a double take as i saw sister pulsipher and the whole family! so grown up might i add. the last time i saw them was probably five years ago in ohio. what are the odds!? we talked fro a little, they just got back from vacation in hawaii and just moved to alpine from portland. hannah is 18 and goin gto byu next year. davis, matthew, lauren, and jack are soo grown up. i cannot believe i used to be their babysitter. they have a girl named jane now too. oh so for the past two hours i have been sitting by a woman on her bluetooth, so i thought. she stood up and i saw she has no bluetooth at all, shes been talking to herself this whole time. my heart goes out to her, shes lost her marbles. shes been saying things like, dont you dare take off those shoes, you know why!? because then you cant dance! well everyone else mustve thought she was on a bluetooth too until she started dancing, fell, and caused a total scene. a delta rep has tried for thirty minutes to get info from he, poor guy. I met up with elders mcbride and gillis in salt lake, theyre going to dallas and chicago. we went to atlanta and met up with elder stickler going to saint george and sister rugger going to provo. now i am at the mtc! mexico city is insane!!! so big and congested. the mtc is huge, 80 acres and our living quarters are really nice five bedroom houses. my companion is sister Luau from american samoa. shes so pretty and natural, shes been traveling for three days! I am the oldest in my group of new missionaries so far, theres about ten of us and theyre all 19. the rest of the day will be pretty chill and im excited for the next six weeks! love you!
