Job Description ID #: 6771 JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager, Social Development, the Working Group Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Hamilton Immigration Partnership Working Groups; placing a priority on engaging and cultivating community partnerships and responsibility to increase community capacity. The Coordinator facilitates collaboration with Working Groups and is the primary link to the Immigration Strategy Team. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: A University Degree or Community College Diploma in Social Sciences and / or equivalent combination of related qualifications and related work experience. Extensive and demonstrated leadership experience working with diverse groups including not-for profit social agencies and volunteers. An understanding of the complexities that come when working with multi-stakeholders, and the ability to support others to achieve results. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to lead and participate on diverse teams as the coordinator of the Working Groups. Proven detail oriented with excellent time management skills including the ability to work within tight deadlines and with competing priorities, necessary for ensuring the completion of the Work Plan deliverables. Must possess thorough knowledge of the current suite of Microsoft productivity tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.and web-based applications in order to perform routine web and database updates. Demonstrated ability to process correspondence, minutes, reports and workshop materials in an accurate and timely fashion. Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary to explain details of various programs in conceptual terms, share this information among Working Groups and write reports from the Working Groups.
