Here is a post from Coach Hipolito. :-( Hello everyone! I had a meeting with the administration this morning. Three of the varsity coaches were in attendance as witnesses on my behalf. First of all, I would like to thank everyone for such a strong show of support for me. The support may have gone ignored by administration and the school board but most definitely not from me. I am humbled, and filled with gratitude for all of you who have stood in my corner. That being said, the administration has decided to go in another direction with the baseball program, a direction in which I will not be the head coach, or have any involvement with. It is a sad day. As I stated in my earlier post, I have a personal attachment to West Hills and the Santee community and it was my goal to make the baseball program better. There were short term plans i.e. weight training, and long term plans i.e. gathering together incoming 8th graders with sole purpose of improving the program immediately and strengthening the program for the future. My dismissal will not allow me to see those goals come to fruition. I wish all the best of luck and once again, a very sincere thank you for your support.
