Here is an email I just sent and thought I would share with all those that called the Superintendent last week. Thank you to all those that called and I encourage anyone else that has yet to call to please do so. This is NOT just about the cheerleaders. This is an issue that concerns all sports teams, groups and tax payers in general. The Superintendent did say she has received numerous calls from both Residents and NON-Residents of the Grand Island. So Thank You Very Much!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Board of Education and Town Board, After many emails and quite the stressful week leading up to this weekend, I thought I would share with you the results of the cheer competition. The young ladies of our community represented Grand Island EXTREMELY WELL! There were over 30 teams competing at the Hamburg Fair Grounds yesterday 11/16/14. The Gold & White Squads took 2nd place in their respective categories. In addition, the White Squad was recognized out of all 30+ teams as having the most Spirit!
