Here is my rant for the day: I travel on I-5 a lot, I go from Rochester to Centralia, Chehalis, Napavine, and all in between almost on a daily basis. I am really getting tired of the truck drivers sitting in the middle lane, not passing, and weaving back and forth as they are talking or texting on their phones. I see on average 5 or 6 of the EVERY day doing this. Then they stay in the left lane going south and refuse to get over when the lanes go from 3 down to 2 lanes, they do the same type of thing going north where the lanes coming into Chehalis goes down to 2 lanes. 2 different time my wife and I have seen them scrape the Jersey barriers, we speed up to pass them on the left and sure enough they are usually texting and or talking on their phones. I know some of you jerk wads will defend them saying they need to get directions for their destinations and crap like that, but they should do that when they stop for fuel or rest breaks, the way truck driver use to do it before cell phones, they would look up the address and find directions in the Thomas guide and write it down. not try to put it into their navigations on their phones while they are driving. That is a lot of weight and when they lose control they usually cant bring it back under control. I also see other drivers doing the same crap, talking or texting on their phones, and they are all IDIOTS for doing it. When getting behind the when of any vehicle, especially doing high speeds on the freeway it is just plain idiotic to have a cellular device in your hands. But when it is a huge truck that makes it even worse!!!! I wish the cops that sit in the church parking lot on Cherry/Mellen street or hanging around the construction zones trying to bust people to give the bigger tickets would patrol the freeway more. I know there are a lot of college students that like to speed up and down Cherry/Mellen and that is good that they are there giving tickets out, but these truckers that are hauling ass down the freeway and texting and talking on their phones need some attention too. End of my rant. Sorry if this offends anyone (except the jack ass truck drivers and cell phone users or losers).
