Here is our update on the 4th of July weather forecasts for the nation. The biggest change since yesterday is our forecasts for the eastern U.S. from the Carolinas northward. A low pressure area currently located off the coast of the southeastern U.S. is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone during the next few days and slow the eastward progress of a cold front across the Northeast and the Mid-Atlantic. As a result, we are introducing the chance of rain along the Eastern Seaboard for the 4th of July. The highest chance of rain should be closer to the North Carolina coast as we anticipate the tropical cyclone to skirt fair close to the region on July 4th.
