Here is some interesting information concerning why the Blubox is a great solution to the problem involved with stranded or abandoned oil & gas wells. If a barrel of oil is going for $107.00 and produces 43 mcf (100 cu. ft.) of natural gas. 43 Mcf = 200KW (1 Blubox or enough power to supply electricity to 200 homes for 1 day). This equals $3,870 per month in natural gas. 86 Mcf = 400KW (2 Blubox or enough power to supply electricity to 400 homes for 1 day). This equals $7,740 per month in natural gas. 129 Mcf = 600KW (3 Blubox or enough power to supply electricity to 600 homes for 1 day). This equals $11,610 per month in natural gas. 172 Mcf = 800 KW (4 Blubox or enough power to supply electricity to 800 homes for 1 day). This equals $15,480 per month in natural gas. The profits from the oil that comes from these wells far exceed the profits from the natural gas into the hundreds of thousands per well. If these wells are shut in or stranded and unable to produce oil and natural gas because there is no infrustructure to transport the natural gas, oil companies are then losing millions of dollars. With the Blubox generators in place at the well sites converting the natural gas into electricity and put back into the grid it allows the oil companies to profit from these wells. Blubox Energy is in a real sense a utility company selling the electricity back to the local cooperatives or utility companies. The Blubox generators themselves produce very little pollution and is a viable resource to the community. Natural gas is generally only used in homes to produce gas for your natural gas oven and fuel for a natural gas furnace. There are other costly applications where natural gas is used but with Blubox we can now use natural gas as a green solution that works 24 hours a day (much more efficient than solar or wind) to produce electricity for our communities.
