Here it is guys, DID YOU? is officially released. I woke up today just like I do any other, the frame that holds this photograph on the wall is becoming a little dusty don’t you think? I’ve had it pretty easy, or so I’m told, I guess that’s true, even after all these years its hard to tell the cracks from the breaks. You assume I live in the bubble but you forget why you put me there in the first place. Did you notice the day I stopped smiling? Did you? You forgot to put the money in the bank, but I guess I’ll do it, I’ve always been your responsible soul, despite your many attempts to bring me down and break me.You made me small but yet I feel so big. Why did you always feel the need to be the alpha, when you were really the omega. Why couldn’t you be more like...oh wait you never knew about ‘it’. Did you notice the day I stopped caring. Did you? But now, let me tell you a little story. I walked into the house that day, he was sitting there all in his ‘macho’ gear, he always told me to look my best, but I think that’s a very interpretive term. For 15 years I’ve been able to dodge the looks and the stares but at that time, it was just too much. You always make me feel like a feather in the wind. Did you see the way I looked at you that day? Did you? Did we not spend most of the time sneaking around behind their backs, when all the time I just wanted you behind mine. Am I speaking metaphorically here?, I mean you always had my back, or was that just my imagination. The sound of your voice still rings in my ears. Did you ever feel the same way I do, did you? I fear not of how the eyes will see me, I fear not how the ears will hear me, I fear not how the mouths will swallow me. I thank you for your concern, but I must walk this path with ‘it’ by my side now. I am who I am, and I doubt any of you will look at me any different……Will you?
