Here we start the day with The Military Wives. Sorry for the sound, it was drowned out by the sound of passing Typhoon jets. Then suddenly, through the heavy rain clouds came the iconic sight of a Lancaster. She had been en-route since Monday, flying from Hamilton, Canada, via Goose Bay in Newfoundland, Keyflavic in Iceland and finally arriving here at RAF Coningsby. She had been flown through terrible stroms to get here. This 65 year old plane held together the whole way. What a great feat by both plane and crew. Sorry for the shaky footage, not easy holding a camera and umbrella. The MilitaryWives finish off with Well Meet Again, origainally sung by Vera Lynn. Notice the code number on the fusilage of the Lanc.
